Some naturally come alive in front of the camera. Others are gifted storytellers, imaginative writers, thoughtful directors, or creative problem-solvers behind the scenes.
At Sonoma School of Drama, acting is the foundation—but filmmaking is the journey.
Our Young Filmmakers Lab combines acting, storytelling, and creative collaboration to help students develop confidence, communication skills, and artistic expression while exploring every aspect of the filmmaking process. Through hands-on projects and weekly classes, students discover where they shine as they build the skills to tell meaningful stories.
Teens will get the opportunity to take the reins in storytelling and discover where their best talents lie. A deeper dive into what drives characters and stories, students are set up to reveal their best assets and apply them to their lives. All through the lens of filmmaking, storytelling and playing the part.
